Attaching the Fall Protection System (see figure B)
Note: A fall protection system (22) that is suitable for the weight of the entire system should be used to prevent the power tool from falling. The maximum permitted length of the fall protection system is 1.1 m. Please always refer to the permitted attachment area (21) on the power tool.
It is best to use the fall protection system with a tape loop secured by an anchor knot or a fall protection system with fall damper.
Please always refer to the operating instructions when attaching the fall protection system (22).
- Always secure the opposite side of the fall protection system to a stable structure (e.g. a building or scaffolding) and never to the user.
The fall protection system must be able to move freely and may only be attached to the power tool at the fixed anchorage point (23) and in the permitted attachment area (21) .
Select the fixed anchorage point (23) such that the power tool can fall freely into the fall protection system without wrapping around or putting the user at risk of harm in the event of a fall.
Place the sling of the fall protection system (22) through the handle (17) and guide the end with the karabiner through the sling. When tightening the sling, ensure that it is correctly laid the attachment area (21) and that it has not twisted over itself. Inspect the fall protection system before every use and check that is correctly secured to the power tool and the anchorage point (23).
