Changing the Tool (see figure A)
- Turn the drive unit (10) all the way up using the crank handle (4).
- Ensure that the application tools are free of grease.
- Annular cutters: Insert the pilot pin (23) into the annular cutter (22) (TCT and HSS annular cutters require different diameters of pilot pin).
- Insert the application tool fully into the tool holder (8).
- Align the side clamping surfaces (18) with the grub screws (9).
- Tighten the grub screws using a hex key (5 mm).
- Fully insert the adapter (19) into the tool holder (8).
- Align the side clamping surfaces (18) with the grub screws (9).
- Tighten the grub screws using a hex key (5 mm).
- Screw the adapter (19) into the keyed chuck (20).
- Open the keyed chuck (20) by turning it until the twist drill bit (21) can be inserted. Insert the twist drill bit.
- Insert the chuck key into the corresponding holes of the keyed chuck and clamp the twist drill bit evenly.
- Undo the grub screws (9) and remove the application tool from the tool holder (8).
