User Interface

The user interface (9) is used to:

Displaying the Tape Length Outside the Power Tool

The display (17) shows how long the tape (2) protrudes from the power tool (during feeding and retracting).

Note: To ensure counting accuracy, it is recommended that the tape be retracted completely before starting a new job. This resets the automatic stop to zero.

Status Indicators

The following table describes the status indicators on the user interface (9).

Status OK. The power tool switches to tape change mode.

The tape has been completely retracted. The power tool stops automatically.

Release the on/off switch (7) and press the switch (6) all the way to the left (feeding). Then press the on/off switch (7) again.

Yellow

End lights up

The workable feed limit is reached. The power tool stops automatically.

Release the on/off switch (7) and press the switch (6) all the way to the right (retracting). Then press the on/off switch (7) again.

Press and hold the MODE button (18) for 3 seconds until the power tool switches to tape change mode.

Yellow

End flashes

The full feed limit is reached. The power tool stops automatically.

Release the on/off switch (7) and press the switch (6) all the way to the right (retracting). Then press the on/off switch (7) again.

Red

No display

The power tool has overheated or the rechargeable battery is empty.

Allow the power tool to cool down, or replace or charge the rechargeable battery.

The power tool has overloaded.

Due to improper conduit setup, the pulling force becomes too great.

Try pulling slowly and carefully, applying only light pressure to the on/off switch (7).

If the problem persists, check the conduit layout. This may require disconnecting the conduit sections to remove the tape (2) and cable.

Motor stalls or insufficient battery power

Charge the battery or use the recommended battery type.

General error

Switch the power tool off and on again or remove the rechargeable battery and reinsert it.

If the error persists, send the power tool to an authorised after-sales service centre for Bosch-power tools.
